Here's A Simple Back Exercise Using a Fitness Ball ...
Step 4: Learn how a simple & inexpensive piece of exercise equipment can help you strengthen your core & reduce your back pain (and it's fun)!
One piece of exercise equipment that is very valuable to have (maybe not while you still have lots of pain, but is great for long term rehab) is an exercise ball.
I used to think these exercise balls looked "goofy" and were some sort of fad - kind of like all those infomercials you see on TV for all different kinds of abdominal "gadgets".
Are these exercise balls really that helpful?
Years ago, when I started having back trouble (but before the infamous "sneeze"), my chiropractor recommended that I use an exercise ball to stregthen my "core".
But I knew it all when it came to exercise (yeah, right) and didn't need it any advice - BIG MISTAKE on my part!
So, after hurting my back really seriously this time, the exercise ball has become an essential part of my recovery.
You can get one from your local department store (Wal-Mart, Target, etc) or sporting goods store (Sports Authority, Dicks, etc). You can also order a fitness ball online for less than $20
... It's easy to use.
... And inexpensive.
... And after you get the hang of using it for a while, it's actually fun!
Most of them come with a simple guide to show you how to use it. There are also some exercises listed in the Lose the Back Pain system. And here are some more:

Here is the program I used to fix my back problems:
